As with all Windows applications, Great Plains prints reports using the
Windows Print Manager. However, a trick that is often overlooked by
users is to set up multiple printer settings for the same printer. For
example, assume that a user has just one printer available, but this
same user sometimes has a need to print in portrait, landscape, or draft
mode. Instead of changing printer properties with each print job, this
user could instead set up this printer three times in the Print Manager,
one setting each to product portrait, landscape, or draft quality
results. Thereafter, Great Plains allows the user to select the desired
printer when printing reports. This can be a time saver in the long run,
and can reduce errant printing to wrong settings as well.
