The main menu presented
below offers a elegant design which is easy to navigate and use. The
icons at the top of the screen allow the user to perform the following:
- Print & Print
Preview
- Cut, Copy & Paste
- Undo
- Insert (insert a new
record)
- Delete (delete an
existing record)
- Find
- Field Filter, Table
Filter, Flow Filter, No Filter
- Sort
- Scroll Records
- Show List
Navision’s list of modules does not do the product justice. For example,
bank reconciliation and budgeting are included in the general ledger.
Sales orders and purchase orders are included in the accounts receivable
& accounts payable modules. Many accounting software solutions list
these modules separately and charge separately for these modules.
Because Navision combines many ancillary modules within the core
modules, this sometimes conveys the impression that Navision does not
have as many modules as other products, when in fact it does.
In addition, the
function keys in Navision provide the following functionality:
F1 – Help
F2 – Edit
F6 – Lookup
F12 – Main Menu
Shift + F1 – What is this
Shift + F2 – Edit Assist
Shift + F6 – Drill Down
Shift + F12 – Object Designer
Control + F2 - Designer
Control + F4 - Close
Control + F6 – Next Window
If preferred,
Navision can be used completely without the aid of a mouse, just the
keyboard is needed.
